Unlock BlackBerry

If more than one code is returned for your phone, only one will be required, please start with the first code, if that is correct there is no need to enter any of the other codes, if it is incorrect move onto the next code, and so on.

Notes

Please make sure you enter the codes in correctly and only try them once, if you are still getting a code error please contact supplier.
DO NOT let your code count go below 1, if you only have 1 count left please contact supplier.


Before entering any codes in to the phone please turn off all Connections

1. Scroll and select Manage Connections.
2. Select Turn All Connections OFF
3. Press Escape to go back to the Home Screen
4. Follow the instuctions for your model to unlock your phone
5. Once unlocked Turn All Connections ON


Model : T-mobile BlackBerry Models

1. On the Home screen, click the Tools icon. The Options screen appears.
2. In the tools screen, select the Settings icon.
3. Scroll to SIM Card and select it. You should see the phone number and the SIM ID number.
4. Type mepd to display the first five levels of SIM locking.

T-Mobile uses network locking so the Network should display Active. All other states should display Disabled
Please note: For the Blackberry 7100t you will hit the P twice when entering the mepd and mep2 for steps 4 & 5.

5. Type mep2 to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code (Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2)
6. Input the Network Unlock code
7. Press ENTER and reboot handheld.


Model : Pearl

Pearl instructions - Can be done without a sim card inserted To Unlock:

1. While on the home screen, click the settings icon
2. Click the options icon
3. Select advanced options
4. Select Sim Card
5. Type mepp2 to display thedialog box asking for the unlock code (Pressthe Alt + 2 key to get thenumber 2) ( you will not see text appear onscreen while typing )
6. Input the SIM Unlock code 
7. Press in the trackball in once


Model : BlackBerry Pearl 8100 (Alternative instructions if above instructions do not work)
Can be done without a sim card inserted


1. While on the home screen, click the blackberry key on keyboard, then select options.
2. Choose Advanced Options.
3. Select Sim Card
4. There is no area totype these letters, you just type them as instructed. No need to hitkeys twice to get a letter either. Type m ep p d to display the firstfive levels of SIM locking. Most companiesuse network locking so theNetwork should display Active. All otherstates should display Disabled( you will not see text appear on screen
while typing )
5. Type m e p p 2 to display the dialog box asking for the unlock code
(Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2) ( you will not see text
appear on screen while typing )
6. Input the SIM Unlock code
7. Press in the trackball in once

Your phone is unlocked


8700 / 8707

** You must have a SIM card in your phone to complete these steps ( Can be active or inactive ) **

1. Go to settings
2. Go to options
3. Go to advanced options
4. Go to sim card
5. Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE ( not case sensitive ) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
6. It will say Enter Network MEP Code, then you type in the unlock code, press in the jog dial to confirm
7. Your phone is now unlocked


Curve, 8300, 8320, 8800, 8820

Can be done without a sim card inserted

1. Go to settings
2. Go to options
3. Go to advanced options
4. Go to sim card
5. Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE ( not case sensitive ) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
6. It will say Enter Network MEP Code, then you type in the unlock code, press in the trackball to confirm
7. Your phone is now unlocked


7100 / 7130

1. On the Home screen, click the Tools icon. The Options screen appears.
2. In the tools screen, select the Settings icon.
3. Scroll to SIM Card and select it. You should see the phone number and the SIM ID number.
4. Type mepp2 to displaythe dialog box asking for the unlock code(Press the Alt + 2 key to getthe number 2) ( you will not see textappear on screen while typing )
5. Input the SIM Unlock code 
6. Press in the jog dial once


5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx ( Except for 7100 )

1. Go to options
2. Scroll to SIM CARD then press jog dial in once to select it
3. Type MEPD (not case sensitive) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
4. Does it say Network active? if so your phone is locked
5. Press and hold the alt key (half moon looking key on the lower left side)
6. As you are holding the alt key type in MEPE (not case sensitive) ( you will not see text appear on screen while typing )
7. Type in the unlock code when prompted
8. After entering the code press the jog dial in
9. Your phone is now unlocked!


BlackBerry 8900 Javelin

1. Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> advanced Options -> Sim Card and press OK.
2. Type mepd (you will not see text appear on screen while typing)
3. You should now see the five locking categories listed.
4. Type mep hold the alt button and press the number 2 digit.
5. You are now prompted to enter the Network MEP code (it will also state how many attempts left)
6. Enter the code
7. Press Return/Enter
8. The device should then be unlocked


BlackBerry Storm 9500, 9530 (for VERIZON STORM, see below)

Tip: Turn the phone sideways so you get the full qwerty keypad

1. Insert any sim card
2. Turn off all of the wireless connections
3. Go to Options
4. Select Advanced Options
5. Select SIM Card
6. Hit menu select show keybord
7. Enter mepd (you will not be able to see the typed info)
8. Enter mep2
9. Now it will say enter network mep code


VERIZON Storm / 8830

Tip: Turn the phone sideways so you get the full qwerty keypad

1. Blacberry 8830 Insert a non - working SIM card
1. Blackberry Storm You need to Ensure the SIM Card that came pre-installed in the 9530 is inserted
2. Go to Manage Connections
3. Click on Turn All Connections Off
4. Go to Options
5. Click on Status
6. (Input required info into Guarded Link to retrieve the unlock code)
7. Go back to Options
8. Click on Advanced Options
9. Click on SIM Card
10. Type MEPD (letters will not appear on-screen but a menu will pop up)
11. Type MEP2 (user will be prompted to enter MEP code)
12. Enter the unlock code (for example 1234567890123456)
13. Reboot device
14. Go to Manage Connections
15. Click on Restore Connections
16. Device is now unlocked


Blackberry 9000 / Bold

1. Insert a non - working SIM card.
2. Ensure the phone is charged and then switch the phone on.
3. Optional Step: If the SIM card has a PIN, enter your PIN number.
4. The phone will then display a message top of the screen. The most common is Invalid SIM card.
5. Select Settings Menu, then go to Advanced Options > SIM Card
6. Type alt-MEPE by holding the ALT-key and typing the letters MEPE
7. This will not show on the screen.
8. When prompted with Enter Network MEP code (255 left) on the screen, enter the networkunlock code provided for your phone then press Enter.

The handset will be unlocked automatically. This will be confirmed if you can make and receive calls with the Non-Vodafone SIM card.


Blackberry 9100

1. While on the home screen, click the settings icon
2. Click the options icon
3. Select advanced options
4. Select Sim Card
5. Type mepp2 to display thedialog box asking for the unlock code (Pressthe Alt + 2 key to get thenumber 2) ( you will not see text appear onscreen while typing )
6. Input the SIM Unlock code 
7. Press Middle ok button


Blackberry 9105

The 9105 doesnt have an ALT key, however you can put it into ALT mode. 
To activate ALT mode you must do the following: Press the right side Volume keys in the following sequence: up, down, up, down, up 
The Alt icon should display in the top left corner of the screen. 

Note: If you press the Shift key it disables the ALT mode

1. Insert SIM into device
2. Change phone to GSM mode
3. Power phone on and turn off the radio (turn Wireless Off option). This is very important!
4. Select Options, then Advanced Options
5. Scroll down and select SIM Card.
6. Type MEPPD (please note that you will not see what you type on the screen).
7. Type MEPP then [ALT BUTTON] then 2 (please note that you will not see what you type on the screen).

Note: If prompt does not appear please type MEEP2

8. You should be presented with a prompt to Enter Network MEP Code.
9. Type in the 16 or 8 digit unlock code
10. Once complete, make sure the entered code is correct and hit Enter or Return or press OK
11. Reboot device


Easy to follow 9105

1. Turn off the Wireless Radio
2. Next go to Settings > Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
3. Press: 63373
4. Press:63372
5. You should see a dialogue where you can put in a 16 digit code and 10 tries to punch it in correctly.
6. After you enter in the code, press Enter.
7. It should say Device Unlocked and you have an unlocked Blackberry


Blackberry 9800 Torch

1. Click the options icon
2. Click on Device
3. Click on Advanced System Setting
4. Click Sim Card
5. Type MEPD using your Blackberry keyboard (You will not see any text appear) but a new screen should appear
6. Then type MEP2 (Press the Alt + 2 key to get the number 2) ( you will not see text appear onscreen while typing )
7. A box will appear asking to Enter Network MEP code
8. Enter code sent and press enter


Blackberry Q5, Q10, Z10

1. Insert a non accepted SIM card and power the phone ON
2. Go to Settings > Security and Privacy > SIM Card
3. Scroll down to Phone Network Lock, and tap the Unlock Network button
4. Enter your 8 or 16 digit unlock code, and hit OK



Model : All BlackBerry Models method 1(except T-mobile)

1. Using the menu go to Settings Menu -> SIM card press select.
2. While holding the SHIFT key, type MEPD or (MEPPD for Vodafone Handsets)
3. You should now see the five locking categories listed.
4. While holding the SHIFT KEY, type MEP2 or (MEPP2 for Vodafone handsets)
5. Release the shift key.
6. You are now prompted to enter the Network MEP code (it will also state how many attempts left)
7. Enter the code
8. Enter Return/Enter
9. The device should then be unlocked


Model : All BlackBerry Models method 2(except T-mobile)

1. Go to settings
2. Go to options
3. Go to advanced options
4. Go to sim card
5. While holding the SHIFT key, type MEPD
6. You should now see the five locking categories listed
7. Highlight the "network Active"
8. While holding the ALT KEY, type MEP2
9. You are now prompted to enter the Network MEP code (it will also state how many attempts left)
10. Enter the code
11. Enter Return/Enter
12. The device should then be unlocked
